Manufacturing Indaba 2022

The annual Manufacturing Indaba Conference and Exhibition will be hosted from 21–22 June 2022.

This year’s Manufacturing Indaba will be a physical in-person conference and exhibition with the theme “Reigniting economic growth through manufacturing”.

Given the impact of the pandemic, all nations require and rightly aspire to efficient industrial bases to meet changing needs in a globalised world. South Africa has developed an established and diversified manufacturing base that has shown its resilience and potential to compete in the global economy.

Collaboration and investments by both the public and private sectors in manufacturing are essential for regional and continental growth. The annual Manufacturing Indaba aims to bring together manufacturing business owners, industry leaders, government officials, capital providers and professional experts to explore opportunities and grow their manufacturing operations.

The Manufacturing Indaba is a leading manufacturing event in sub-Saharan Africa. The 2022 edition will focus on the future of manufacturing in Africa post the pandemic.

Key issues to be discussed include:

  • Securing consensus to build an inclusive and sustainable domestic economy.
  • AfCFTA – The Game Changer: unlocking opportunities for regional value chain integration under AfCFTA.
