How Does Armed Bars Work?

ViewProtect™ Armed Bars are uniquely designed transparent burglar bars made from a specific polycarbonate.

These substances are among the strongest thermoplastics ever produced. Polycarbonate is impact resistant and is widely used for riot shields, bulletproof windows and enclosures as seen in banks and moreover is rust and maintenance free.

Armed Bars is a transparent security barrier with an integrated alarm sensor that has a unique ability to protect the home owner with a strong physical transparent barrier and a 24/7 active alarm monitoring system. (See picture below.)

The Armed Bars have a specially designed thin wire that has been forced into the sides of the transparent security bar and can be connected to any alarm monitoring system. This thin wire is corrosion-protected and is not visible when looking through these transparent bars.

The in-series connection of the wires in the transparent security bars receives an electrical pulse from the alarm board and the end of line resistor protects the bars if the electrical pulse is bypassed or bridged.

Should the transparent security bars be cut, melted, kicked out or tampered with in an attempted burglary, the thin wire will break and activate the alarm.  Thereby alerting you and your alarm company to respond.

Although the Armed Bars are active 24/7 you do have the freedom to move around in your living space with the comfort of knowing you are secure. You can open and close your windows and doors, pets can get in & out, and you can clean the windows without setting the alarm off.

Fitting the Armed Bars you are guaranteed of no false alarms due to human error, plants, insects or animals.

The polycarbonate bars are UV protected on both sides and has a 10 year warranty from the manufacturer.
