Loreto School Queenswood

We grow children for life.

Ready to find a school for your child?

By Mr. Marcello Pallozzi

What makes Loreto School Queenswood different to other schools? Is it the academic excellence?

Is it the extramural programme? Is it the discipline? Is it the sense of Community? Or is it the facilities?

Any school worth its salt will strive for the academic excellence, offer a comprehensive extramural programme, have good discipline, and strive to create a sense of community.

Why Loreto

What then, makes Loreto School Queenswood different?

Loreto School Queenswood learners are seekers of truth and doers of justice. We do not simply teach our learners about values; we expect to see the values we teach being lived out through the children’s actions and choices.

Our Loreto Community, in Pretoria, Queenswood, has a sense of belonging and togetherness. As our school is small, we have the opportunity and set up to get to know our learners well. Regardless of their strengths, our learners get the opportunity to participate and experience every aspect of our school.

Our values

What is different, at Loreto School Queenswood, is faith. It is a deep spiritual base that is taught not caught. In fact, this faith-based education permeates through every fiber of our school. All that we do is to the greater “Glory of God”.

Founded on this spiritual base is our retreat days. Days that are set aside during the school calendar for learners to spend with themselves and God.

The retreats are offsite, we always make it a point to choose venues that have open spaces, scenic views and allow walks and quiet moments.

Our schools are internationally linked. We mold our learners to become “agents of social change”. Loreto education is about relationships. Relationships with our learners, parents, staff, community and most, importantly with God.

What some of our past learners say?

As our learners leave Loreto School Queenswood they are invited to pack their bags with the best of Loreto education. I share some of their thoughts and feelings:

“In the biggest compartment of my suitcase, which is my heart, I will take love. A love for what is real and full, and one that is felt by everyone who experiences Loreto education”.

“I’ll take with me the Loreto Spirit. The Spirit of everything good and Godly.”

“I’ve learned how to be responsible and how to attain my goals. To do things to the best of my ability and to be the best I can be”.

“I have learned to treat everyone fairly and with dignity: to have respect for everyone older and younger than I am: to treat everyone in the way I would like to be treated, and to be able to stand up for what I believe.”

“When I first came to the school I was like a shy little bird, afraid to fly with other birds. I have now become confident, believe in myself and develop my unique talents.”
