Meet The New State Diamond Trader Company Secretary/Legal Manager

He is an attorney of the High Court and Graduate of the Chartered Governance with the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa (formerly Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa.

Mr Mhlnagu has provided company secretary and legal advisory services in the public sector for more than ten years.

Mr Mhlangu has held various roles, from working at the State Attorney Office (KZN), Council for the Built Environment, and the South African National Energy Development Institute, providing company secretary and legal advisory services.

 The State Diamond Trader is a state-owned entity established in Section 14 of the Diamonds Amendment Act, 29 of 2005. The company is classified as a Schedule 3b entity of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). It is eligible by law and proclamation to purchase up to 10% of the run of mine from all diamond producers in South Africa.
