Pretoria, South Africa – Sable International Study Abroad Sports is set to host its 2026 4-Day Soccer ID Camp from 8 – 11 January at Camp Discovery in Dinokeng, Pretoria, bringing together elite football development and internationally focused academic pathways in a dynamic, high-performance environment. Purposefully designed for ambitious student-athletes, the camp offers a powerful platform for young footballers to align sporting excellence with global higher education opportunities.

This intensive residential programme provides participants with direct access to international university coaches and recruitment representatives from the USA and the UK, creating a unique convergence of sport science, performance development and academic progression. The camp serves as a critical bridge between grassroots talent and the rigorous demands of university-level sport, while reinforcing the importance of academic discipline and strategic career planning.

“The Soccer ID Camp is an academic and athletic accelerator,” says the Sable International Study Abroad Sports Team. “It equips student-athletes with the technical skills, tactical intelligence and educational insight required to successfully transition into international university football environments. Our aim is to cultivate well-rounded individuals who excel both on the pitch and in the classroom.”

The four-day programme delivers a structured, high-intensity development experience grounded in modern coaching methodologies and competitive performance standards. Participants will engage in elite technical and tactical training sessions led by experienced international coaches, incorporating position-specific drills, performance analysis and game-based learning to enhance decision-making, spatial awareness and match intelligence. Strength, speed and conditioning components are integrated to optimise athletic performance and resilience.

In addition to on-field excellence, the camp places strong emphasis on the academic aspect of the student-athlete journey. University expos will allow participants to interact directly with representatives from respected institutions such as Green River College, Bryant & Stratton College, Gannon University, Nottingham Trent University, Birmingham University, West Virginia University, MJXV Consulting and various other Universities. These engagements provide clarity on scholarship structures, admission criteria, sports performance expectations and academic support systems available to international students.

Educational workshops and seminars will explore topics including international admissions processes, NCAA and UK university recruitment systems, sports scholarship frameworks, visa requirements, academic-talent balance and long-term career development in sport. This holistic approach ensures participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the pathways available to them beyond the field of play.

The 2026 Soccer ID Camp is open to student-athletes aged 16 to 21 who demonstrate commitment, discipline and a strong desire to pursue excellence in both academics and football. Whether participating at school, club or academy level, attendees will benefit from structured feedback, performance evaluation and exposure to global opportunities that extend well beyond the duration of the camp.

Cost and Registration Structure
