Meet The New State Diamond Trader Chief Executive Officer, Ms Nosiphiwo Mzamo

She is a highly capable, results-driven Management Professional, holding a Master of Business Administration, B.Sc. Hons Geology, and Graduate Diploma in Mining Engineering. Mzamo has over 21 years combined experience in the fields of Geological Sciences, Mineralogy Research and Development, Mining, Analytical Chemistry, Strategic Management and Human Resources Management. 

She has a successful track record in the following predominant spheres: Operations Management, Strategic Management, Production and Operational Optimization, Human Resource Management, Project Management, Supply Chain and Procurement Management, Operations Risk, Security and Fraud Management, Business Corporate Governance and Efficiency Improvements, Business Budget Control Management, SHEQ Standard Supervision, Good understanding of PFMA, Staff Leadership, Development and Team Building, Geological Sciences and Mining, Analytical and Mineralogical Laboratory Management. 

Nosiphiwo Mzamo resumed her new role on the 10th of October 2023.

The State Diamond Trader is a state-owned entity established in terms of Section 14 of the Diamonds Amendment Act, 29 of 2005. The company is classified as a Schedule 3b entity of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and is eligible by law and proclamation to purchase up to 10% of the run of mine from all diamond producers in South Africa.
