Let’s Wipe The Smiles Off These Faces
When the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) reports, as it has done recently, that it is investigating an amount of R139-billion made to 11 identified contractors appointed by Eskom during the construction of its Medupi, Kusile and Ingula power plants, then we know we are in trouble!
We allege that these former board directors watched over the rampant looting of Eskom and abused their positions at the expense of ordinary people in South Africa, people who have been denied the right to a stable and efficient power supply. Their dismal performance has left Eskom impoverished and has contributed to our country’s economic instability.
What can you do to help us hold these five former directors accountable? Support our application in the Pretoria High Court to declare former Eskom board members delinquent. Help us ban them from holding directorship positions and prevent them from further abusing our public purse.
With your continued support, we hope to go after other directors of state-owned enterprises who have shown similar disregard for their role as custodians of public goods and services.
Make your contribution today and help us end the culture of impunity in South Africa. Help us remove these delinquents from public life!
