CCBSA Announces 14 Bizniz In A Box Mobile Kitchen Winners
Pirtunia Dhlamini – Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability Manager at CCBSA said: “We are thrilled to reveal the lucky young people who have won a fully customised mobile kitchen to help them become fully-fledged business owners who can create a livelihood for themselves and others”.
“BiB seeks to create a platform to support emerging and small businesses, particularly those run by youth and women in township and rural areas”, added Dhlamini. The Bizniz in a Box (BiB) competition forms part of CCBSA’s ongoing commitment to the empowerment and economic inclusion of young people, including women across South Africa.
Piloted in 2022, the competition awarded 14 aspiring entrepreneurs with mobile kitchens in the previous year, all worth R1,316,000. “Youth unemployment remains at an ultimate high. Through such collaborations, we invest in small businesses to ensure that these entrepreneurs have the competitive advantage to grow, to create job opportunities in their local communities”, concluded Dhlamini.
