Miss Soweto Reigning Queen Addresses Youth Substance Abuse

She is a mental health Occupational Therapist based at Mafolo clinic in Soweto.

She is also currently in her final year of studying part-time towards her master’s in occupational therapy.

Her passion for community and advocating for the less fortunate have led her to volunteer for YUGA Cares (which is a youth outreach program) and the Baragwanath Hospital Comforts Committee.

Tsakane is the current reigning Miss Soweto 2022, a position that has opened the door for her to serve her community even more to effect change as she realized pageants are strong platforms to create positive change in society.

She hopes to inspire other people to also believe in the power that lives inside of them and know that a “yes” from oneself is the most powerful “yes” you can ever receive.
