Christ Church Preparatory School And College: Easter Celebrations

Easter is a very special time for our school, one of the main celebrations of our faith. Christ died for our sins, and is risen!

On Thursday, 1 April, every class had an Easter theme, reminding us of Jesus’ sacrifice.

The Grade 6 pupils enjoyed a wonderful Bible Studies lesson. The pupils were taught about
Jesus being our Easter lamb. His body was broken, His blood flowed to wash our sins away. The pupils made their own crosses with ice cream sticks. Some pupils even put their initials on their designs to show that Jesus died for them.

The Grade 5 pupils had great fun creating ‘Paasfees’ posters.  Intensive forms were used for the creations. It was wonderful watching our pupils putting their hearts and souls into their designs.

During Art Club on Tuesday, 31 March, the Grade 4, 5 and 6 pupils made artwork inspired John 3:16 ahead of Easter. The pupils used black cardboard to make crosses, using a very different technique. The pupils used water colours to paint a background. Each pupil added their own personal touch onto their design using a white paint pen.

In our pre-school, there were little rabbits hopping around, as the pupils had great fun first colouring their masks prior to wearing them for the day.

Thank you Lord for your sacrifice and we pray that You continue to bless our school.
