Taryn Ellis appointed Manager of The Spa at Fancourt

Taryn Van Wyk takes on key International Sales role

Fancourt is pleased to announce two new appointments: Taryn Ellis joins the team as the new manager of The Spa at Fancourt, the resorts’ award-winning private spa and sanctuary, while Taryn Van Wyk takes over the helm in International Sales.

As a qualified aesthetician and skin care specialist with over 14 years’ experience, Ellis will oversee efficient day-to-day operations of the facilities, with a strong focus on creating a high level of service for guests and day visitors.

“I am very much a roll your sleeves up and get the job done type of person and I am honoured be a part of the Fancourt family this year,” says Ellis.

“I have a flair for building businesses from a brand and operational perceptive, so the scope of my role will also centre around driving revenue for long-term growth and creating opportunities to increase the business footprint.”

Prior to joining Fancourt, Ellis was the National Operations Manager at Deluxe Laser and Spa, a supervisor at Dermalogica, and a lecturer at the Beauty Therapy Institute in Durban, South Africa.

Dros also extends a warm welcome to Taryn Van Wyk, who will take over the International Sales role from Dale Geldenhuys who left Fancourt at the end of December. Van Wyk has worked in the industry for several years, most notably for Santé Wellness Retreat & Spa, Boschendal, PlanHotel Hospitality and Abercrombie & Kent.

“This is an exciting role,” says Van Wyk, “and while I’ll be working from Paarl, I’ll be responsible for taking care of all our local DMCs around South Africa.”
